“It’s not just about Indian culture,” Mr. Robertson said. “ When you demoralize any culture, it’s horrible.” By having Native Americans as sports teams mascots it ruins the culture and offends Indians.

area. “I cut the logo off” after he learned of the term’s meaning, he said.

They say that having Native Americans as mascots makes Indians look up to their chief and other people but really it is offensive and makes them sad that they compare their culture to animals. Abel Cooper said “his daughter became so offended her eyes filled with tears” Therefore, Native Americans should not be sports teams mascots.
