I disagree because inexperience that causes the crashes will just happen to the 18 year old's to because they will be learning like the 16 year old's will.

The minimum driving age required to drive a car within the United States is sixteen, in most states. It has always been this way so why change the age now. For one studies also show that risky behavior and inexperience effects 16-17 year old males just as much as it does males in their early 20's. So then if the driving age is raised then 18 year old's will also crash because of risky behavior and inexperience. More evidence is that this means that the death rate of 18 year old's will increase so it would just be the same. There fore it should stay the same.

They say that the driving age should be raised to 18 but I believe that it should stay the same for many reasons. Because they say that 16 year old's crash too much my first reason is that if the driving age is raised then 18 year old's will also crash because of inexperience. Evidence for this is studies show that risky behavior affects 16-17 year old males just as much as it does males in their early 20's. My second reason is most kids start working when they about 16, so how are they supposed to get to work? Some reasoning/evidence for this is I know in winter, biking isn't a very smart option. Kids will not get as many jobs, and, this could lead to less fast food restaurants, and kids not learning how to work hard. This will affect America for the worse. My final reason to back me up is that kids will be inexperienced and reasoning is because they started driving when they were 16 and the ones who have lived figured out that driving is not a game; it is a serious matter. Therefore I believe that the driving age should stay the same.
