I disagree with this because, according to "Driving age should not be raised", In studies, it was proven that 16-17 year old males are affected by risky behavior just as much as males in their early 20’s. This would suggest that we should make guys wait until they are 23 to drive, but that is incorrect because the people who started driving at 16 realized that driving is a serious matter, not something to be careless with.

I agree with this because, according to Pantagraph.com, “Many teens also have part-time jobs that require trips across town, or from one community into another - areas not served 24/7 by public transportation, if at all.” This shows that many teens have jobs that don’t have close transportation, so they should be able to drive, and they won’t be able to if they legal driving age is raised, and they will have to be driven by their parents, inconveniencing both the kid and the parents.
According to http://www.bls.gov/news.release/
They say that we should raise the driving age because 16 year old people don't know how to be safe behind the wheel, but I think that being safe while driving is something that has to be learned, and we can't wait for a very long time to let people start driving. I think this because, according to "Driving age should not be raised", In studies it was proven that 16-17 year old males are affected by risky behavior just as much as males in their early 20’s. This would suggest that we should make males wait until they are 23 to drive, but that is incorrect because the people who started driving at age 16 realized that driving is a serious matter, not something to be careless with just the same as a 23 year old would. This shows that 16 year old people can learn how to drive safe just as quick as early 20 year old people, and if people who are 16 learn how to drive, they will learn and be able to drive many years earlier than say a 23 year old who would learn the same things but so much later.
I am probably a good person but I haven't taken the time to fill out my profile, so you'll never know! |
